Baan Gong Kham, Patan Road – Chiang Mai.
Baan Gong Kham is new contemporary northern Lanna Thai style, designed by the perfect composition of wooden and concrete Accompany of Europe, Chinese and local Thai Lanna's culture, to catch sight of the roof, which is an influence of Thai Lue, Small lanna group migrate from South of China (12 panna), to Chiangmai, Chiangrai, and Phayao which is one of the proud Lanna Historitical haven in northern Thailand. The decoration of Bann Gong Kham is inspired by the charming of simply life, the variety of wooden were selected. Just like to atisfy visitor to smell Lanna Ancient atmosphere. Enjoyable the comfort and the scenery, have a restful moment.

Accommodation and facilities:
The Resort Baan Gong Kham is just a juwel and we don’t know if we should recommend it because we don’t want to find it outbooked when we are going to Chiang Mai – and that means to Baan Gong Kham - next time. It is a small resort ; beside the guesthouse it has 4 houses in lanna style, each house with two floors, terrasse or balcony, looking on a small beautyful garden which is nurtured by Beer, the very charming and attentive host. But before booking the Resort one should know that it is about 2 km away from the city of Chiang Mai. That means you have either to rent a motorbike or need a tuk-tuk or a taxi each time you want to go to the city (one way = 150 Baht). The only restaurant near to it – just on the other side of the street - is a very exyclusive one, «Le Crystal», with an excellant french Cuisine but of course the prices are in the same range (about 10-20 times higher than a thai restaurant), not just a place a family likes to go every day. Accommodation and facilities:
We were picked up from the airport by a taxi driver that had been arranged by the hotel owner. The hotel is very charming decorated in a rustic style, very clean and comfortable. Our room had a huge spa bath which was excellent and the little extra personal touches. The owner and his staff were very friendly. It was cheap and easy to get into the City and quite nice to be in a quieter area. I would recommend staying there and would love to go back in the future.
