Royal Guest House is located in Kotchasarn Road, Chiang Mai the one of the most charming and eco-guesthouses in Chiang Mai, located in a tropical garden setting and close by the Night Bazaaz (the well known Chiang Mai shopping area) just 5 minutes walk. The International airport, railway station and bus depots are all within 15 minute TukTuk or Song Thaews (local taxis) ride and easily hailed from the Guest House. We also provided you a comprehensive and various choice of activities such as Trekking, Rafting etc.
The Royal Guest House has over 100 accommodations, constructed for a comfortable in Northern style decorated. Our staff offered consistent, friendly, and trustworthy service. Our rooms are air-conditioned and fan, with private hot & cold shower. Daily room cleaning, laundry service, swimming pool restaurant, trekking and sight seeing tour, safety deposit box or your convenient.

Accommodation and facilities:
Charming hotel especially for young people – close to the centre. Staff mostly friendly apart the two ladies at reception. During my stay they have had often problems with internet connection. Daily room service and hotel bar was open 24 hours. Charmantes Hotel vor allem für junge Leute und Rucksack-Touristen – gut gelegen. Personal weitgehend sehr freundlich mit Ausnahme der beiden Damen am Empfang. Tägliche, gute Zimmer-Reinigung und - wohl eher – selten die Hotelbar war 24 Stunden bedient.

very dissapointed needs to be updated rooms very dank musty and dark pool was filthy part of the red light area young laddies going in and out all night left after 3 night into are 9 night stay its funny how the can speak english until you make a complaint then they do want to knownot

I was so disappointed by the very bad quality of rooms that I decided to change hotel the day after. Bed very hard, rooms and air conditionning are very noisy, no blanket , no lift, strong smell of moldy inside room ... You can find a better & cheaper deal elsewhere ! Positive remarks: - free Pick up @ airport with an old beautiful Mercedes car - free Wifi - very pleasant lobby

När vi först öppnade dörren till vårt rum så blev det en smärre chock! Trodde att det skulle bli fem nätter med kackerlackor och ingen sömn... Kort sagt så var rummet väldigt rustikt... En säng, en byrå, ett gammalt skåp och en dusch med genomströmmningsberedare. När vår treveckorssemester var slut och vi sammanfattade så blev bedömningen att vår vistelse på Royal GuestHouse var bland de bättre upplevelserna! Det räckte alldeles utmärkt med en fläkt i taket trots 37 graders värme, vi sov mycket behagligt i rummet. Bra städning varje dag, rent och fräscht! Trevlig personal och en bra frukost! Prova fruktyoughurten, den var underbar. Vill man ha lite lyxigare rum så fanns det, men vårt rum för 350 Bath blev en (fin) upplevelse i sig!

The only good thing I would have to say is the wifi was excellent. Good signal. The guesthouse is more for backpackers on a budget. I stayed in the Lanna (more expensive room) but really was glad the next day to move to another hotel that we found cheaper, cleaner, bigger, flat screen TV, & wifi. A/c worked fine but paint chipping on the walls & ceilings were a real turn-off. Desk people were nice enough. The shower was directly where you would have to stand for the sink - no room at all. No closets to hang clothes and no desk or table for computer. I had to go downstairs to use A TABLE IN THE LOBBY. Basically, I would not recomment this place. Maybe I prefer better quality than backpackng budget but there are much better places for the price.

A really nice room with great view from the balcony. Clean, with friendly service. Just one issue: it would be great if there was mosquito control in the reception area, as I got bitten terribly during the day and evening there.
